Technology for sixth-generation (6G) mobile communication system is now being widely studied. A sub-Terahertz band expected to play a great role in 6G enable extremely high data-rate transmission. This paper has two goals. (1) Introduction of concept and propagation characteristics sub-Terahertz-band radio waves. (2) Performance evaluation intelligent reflecting surfaces (IRSs) based on beamforming smart environments (SREs). We briefly review research SREs with reconfigurable (RISs), describe requirements key features band.
